Our control centeris  located in the northeast of Karlsruhe, not far from the Wildpark Stadion, the home of the soccer club Karlsruher SC.

The center was founded in 1973 by the European Aviation Organization Eurocontrol.

In 1977 ATC-operation was started by control personnel of the former  Bundesanstalt für Flugsicherung - BFS .

In 1984 the BFS took  over the responsibility for the whole center.

In1993 the BFS became a private  company - the Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH - DFS

In the front of the building one can find offices and meeting rooms, as well as a Casino open to the public (07:00 till 16:30).

Rising behind that building is the Operations Room, with the antennas of the emergency transmitters and receivers on its roof.
